Dr. Deben is an enthusiastic and warm orthopaedic specialist focusing in foot and ankle disease, with extensive experience in forefoot disease, arthritis, sports, trauma and diabetes.  She has a comprehensive approach to managing foot and ankle disorders with the goal of returning patients to their activities of choice. Dr. Deben treats ankle and foot arthritis, flatfoot disease, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, Achilles tendon disorders, ankle instability, osteochondral defects of the talus, foot and ankle fractures, bunions, hammertoes and chronic wounds.  She also has extensive experience in PRP injections (platelet-rich plasma) and stem cell injections, and performs minimally invasive bunion surgery at the Surgery Center at Doral.

She graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine and after completing an orthopaedic residency in Kansas City, MO, was stationed at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in support of the U.S. Marine Corps.  She then completed a fellowship in Portland, Maine, in complex foot and ankle reconstruction. At her next military station, Naval Medical Center San Diego, she served as the military foot and ankle surgeon for the entire west coast to include patients from Alaska, Hawaii and Guam. There, she had the opportunity to care for many military wounded warriors as well as special forces patients.

An active member of the community, Dr. Deben mentors future physicians and is as an avid tennis player.  She is a first-generation American from Cuban born parents, and is proud to be serving the community that offered her the opportunity to see the world and realize her dreams of becoming a surgeon.
